Jennifer Sirianni Ackerman has nearly two decades of teaching experience with a strong focus on differentiation, curriculum design, and formal assessment techniques. Jennifer has been employed as a math intervention teacher and a teacher of the gifted in Westport since 2011 and enjoys tailoring curricula to meet the needs of all types of learners. Prior to her current role, she spent the 10 years in Westport as a classroom teacher. She has developed model lessons for teachers and assists with the implementation of problem solving initiatives set by her district. In 2011, Jennifer was honored by the CT State Board of Education for excellence in teaching which led to recognition in a local school district as Teacher of the Year.
Jennifer's husband, Peter Ackerman, is a life-long Bethel resident and a Physician Assistant with Danbury Orthopedics. Together they have three children who attend the BPS schools; Ruby, Lincoln, and Larsen.
