R.M.T. Johnson School

I was hired to be the Principal of Johnson School in 2004.  It has been a pleasure to serve the Bethel Public Schools in this capacity.  I am fortunate to work with a wonderful group of teachers and a phenomenal administrative team in Bethel.  The improvement in student academic and social emotional achievement is paramount to all the work we do.

Prior to coming to Bethel, I was an educator in the Bridgeport Public Schools. I served as a teacher, guidance counselor and central office administrator for several years.   Recently, I received by Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Bridgeport.  My husband Jeffrey and I are raising four children of our own.  We currently have two in high school and two in middle school.  I can certainly relate to the many joys and stressors that parents and families experience throughout the school years.  As an educator, I strive to provide students with an outstanding education.  I believe in the principles of differentiated instruction and provide guidance and leadership to my staff based on those principles.  Students   and families are individuals with varying needs, they need to be treated with the upmost respect and be provided with high quality programs, constant communication and support as necessary.
