Bethel Middle School is home to approximately 700 students in grades six through eight. Identified by the New England League of Middle Schools as a Spotlight School, Bethel Middle School embraces the vision that “All students will engage in meaningful educational experiences that will prepare them for future challenges.” To this end students are offered a variety of opportunities that challenge them to take academic risks and to achieve their personal best.
The knowledgeable and nurturing staff at Bethel Middle School recognizes that the middle school years are a critical time for students. In addition to a rigorous academic program, students are taught to apply the values of our Tiger Two – Respect and Responsibility. A variety of rewards systems are in place to acknowledge those students who, on a daily basis, demonstrate these values. Outside of the classroom students have the opportunity to participate in a vast number of clubs and intramural sports.
Our high-functioning professional learning communities and grade level teams are constantly reviewing and revising curriculum to respond not only to state standards but also to the individual needs of our students as demonstrated in the classroom.
