Daniel DeBlois, Supervisor, Information Technologies

Dan DeBlois has been the Supervisor of Information Technologies since February, 2001.

Mr. DeBlois is originally from Adams, Massachusetts. He received his B.A. from North Adams State College. He began his teaching career at Bethel in 1966 and has been here ever since. His first assignment was as a Chemistry teacher, a position he held for almost 20 years. In 1985, he was appointed the Computer Coordinator, K-12, for the Bethel Public Schools.

Mr. DeBlois received his Masters’ degree from Indiana University and his 6th-Year Certificate from St. Joseph's of West Hartford. He has coached and refereed basketball and umpired baseball at the high school level. He has served as BEA president and Chairman of the Negotiating Committee. He is the 1995 recipient of the Sara Mass Award.

In his role as I.T. Supervisor, Mr. DeBlois is involved in all aspects of technology in the Bethel Schools. This includes training of all staff, purchasing and maintaining all computers (1000+), curriculum development, software purchases, infrastructure, and television. He has overseen the development of technology in Bethel from the beginning.

Mr. DeBlois is an avid Red Sox fan, a runner, and a photographer. He is married to Maureen DeBlois, Coordinator of the Music Department of the Bethel Public Schools.
