Fall Cross country - sign ups 2009 Info. packet found in the main office:

Re: BMS Cross Country, an Interscholastic Sport

Dear Parents,

In order to compete in cross country this fall, your child needs to have the following turned in to our school nurse and main office:

1) Athletic Emergency/Registration Form (page 2 of this packet)

2) An up-to-date physical (good until November 7, 2009)

3) The pay to participate sports fee of $50.00 made out to BMS Activity Fund.

Only those student-athletes who have an updated physical and who have paid the $50.00 fee can attend practices and meets. Student-athletes can join at any point in the season, as long as they are cleared by the school nurse by completing page 2 of this packet.

We plan to have several cross country meets this season (one of which is a home meet on October 30th). The first practice will be Thursday, September 10th from 2:45 PM - 3:30PM. On this first practice day, the athletes will receive a schedule of practices & meets, as well as directions to all away meets.

Lastly, we will purchase uniform T-shirts for all athletes. The fee will be $8.00. The athlete will be able to keep the uniform once the season has ended. If you would rather purchase a used T-shirt, these shirts will be sold for $2.00. The only difference is the used T-shirt has a tiger on it, whereas the new shirt has a winged foot emblem. (These shirts have been washed.) The new shirts are the same T-shirts used last year, so the purchase of a T-shirt can be used for cross country, as well as track in the spring for this year and next year as well. (The new and used shirts can both be used in competition.)

Any questions can be directed to me at the email below.

Thank you,

Mr. Longo
