November 2, 2012

We were certainly glad to be back in school today and see that everyone was safe.  Our thoughts go out to those who are struggling due to the impact of Hurricane Sandy.  I don’t think any of us could have predicted that by November 1st we would have already had four days off due to weather, two years in a row.  In an effort to make up some of the days we missed school will be in session on November 12th.  There are also other changes in the schedule that will be announced in upcoming issues of the Superintendent’s newsletter.

Johnson School News

Here is the latest news from Johnson School.

The students were very fortunate this week to have a visit from famous author Ralph Fletcher.  Mr. Fletcher presented his work as an author to both grade levels.  His presentation was entertaining and inspiring.  Ask your son or daughter to share one of his silly stories with you! Always encourage them to keep all their great ideas in a writer's notebook. You never know what those ideas can become in the future!!!
